Community House Information Centre

Opening times: Monday to Friday 9.00am-4.30pm 

The Information Centre is managed and stocked by Harrogate CVS and is open to all voluntary and community organisations that work in the Harrogate District. 

The centre contains:

Leaflets on support and advice services for individuals and groups in the local area.

Computer Databases designed to help voluntary organisations to identify trusts and other funders most likely to provide funding for their particular project. There is also internet access available for searching online directories and other sources of support, advice and information.

A Library containing books on funding (for example, directories of grant-making trusts), HR issues, creating and managing new projects, monitoring & evaluation, management and promoting your organisation’s activities.

Reports and Publications

You can borrow items for up to two weeks though a few of the books are for reference only.  If you want to know whether a particular item is available to borrow telephone us on 01423 504074 or email cvs@harrogatecvs.org.uk

How do I display information on my organisation at Community House?

Many people visit Community House each week and pass through the Information Centre to attend meetings. Providing us with up-to-date leaflets about your services will enable you to reach more individuals in the area and it will also help HACVS to signpost visitors and callers to your service. If you are a local voluntary organisation or community group and would like to display your leaflets in the Information Centre please drop off or send your information to Angela Jones, Harrogate CVS at the above address.

The newly refurbished Harrogate Community House Information Centre was opened in 2010 by the Mayor of Harrogate Pat Jones.
